Who Is Frank Walker & Should You Go See Him At Ultra’s Main Stage?

Who Is Frank Walker & Should You Go See Him At Ultra’s Main Stage?

Set times for Ultra Music Festival came out last Friday, and so far everyone has been focused on coming up with their perfect schedule to see absolutely everybody and anybody that they can. But here, we’re more focused on some of the nuances of the lineup. We’ve already talked about what a headlining set from DJ Snake means in the scope of the festival, but how about some of the openers?

A name we didn’t recognize, one who’s playing the main stage at 1:50 on Saturday, between Tommie Sunshine and Sam Feldt, is Frank Walker. We’ve already checked, there’s no relation to Alan Walker, so who exactly is this DJ…

A quick look at his Facebook reveals that it has been completely scrubbed – there is not a single post on the page. Curious. Such a thing is generally indicative of a rebrand, much like when Kygo scrubbed his Instagram in anticipation of his collaboration with Selena Gomez.

Looking deeper in the about section, we see a familiar name under “General Manager”: Myles, of Golden Hare Group. Otherwise known as Myles Shear, manager of Kygo. Now the social media scrub is starting to make a bit more sense…

Other than a profile picture and cover photo, there are no photos on the page, either.

There’s only one tweet on Twitter, though his account was created in 2011. His Soundcloud, as of right now, is the most telling. There are still three tracks up on his page, all fairly housey cuts, in line with Myles’ management style. However, with the social media scrub, we’re expecting a completely different style to come out of Walker whenever he next releases music.
