Panorama Unveils New Stage That Celebrates Electronic Music & DJs

The Panorama music festival is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new festivals in the United States. Organized by Goldenvoice, the brains behind Coachella and FYF among others, Panorama is returning for its second year to New York City at Randall’s Island Park. This year’s lineup, headed by such legends as Nine Inch Nails and A Tribe Called Quest and rising stars Tame Impala, alt-J, Frank Ocean and Solange, already packs a punch, but a new announcement showcases the festival’s commitment to highlighting electronic music and DJs.

The Point is the name of the new open-air stage at Panorama, which features a Funktion One sound system, a shaded and misted dancefloor — perfect for the NYC summer — and an impressive lineup. Legends such as Derrick Carter, Omar-S and Theo Parrish will play at the stage, alongside a rare appearance from Motor City Drum Ensemble, rising female producer and DJ Honey Dijon, Brooklyn-based Huerco S. in a b2b with Anthony Naples and Brooklyn female DJ collective Working Women. The stage’s lineup contrasts strongly to the typical multigenre festival’s EDM stage lineup, full of great techno and house.

Panorama debuts The Point during its festival on July 28-30. Watch The Point announcement video below:
