You might recognize the name ASADI from this video that recently went viral on our Facebook, but the producer/DJ just released a new EP entitled I’m Coming Home and it’s definitely worthy of your time and attention.
ASADI is focused on his own unique style of Persian trap music, a sound that is readily apparent throughout the EP and especially on the first track, “Resistance.” He makes use of chopped and looped chants and vocals to emulate the Middle Eastern aesthetic, as well as some regional string instruments for that extra authentic vibe. ASADI has actually played the Persian Tar and Setar for years.
