The Chainsmokers have officially gone country, as they’re headed to Nashville for the 2017 CMT Music Awards!
That stands for “Country Music Television” in case you didn’t know, which just announced the superstar lineup of performances and collaborations for one of the biggest nights in country music.
The Chainsmokers will take the stage with Florida Georgia Line, to perform their track “Last Day Alive,” featured on the electronic duo’s debut album Memories… Do Not Open.
This isn’t the first time these guys have teamed up live, as the country stars recently joined The Chainsmokers on tour for a surprise performance. We’re glad fans enjoy the song, but keeping our fingers crossed that EDM-country doesn’t become a thing.
The 2017 CMT Music Awards premieres June 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
These guys have become great friends of ours and we can’t wait to perform with them at the #CMTAwards on June 7. @TheChainsmokers @CMT pic.twitter.com/JEsnHBkTGR
