Confirmed False: The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha Do Not Have A Collab

Watch The Ultimate Cover Of The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down”

This past weekend, we reported that The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha had a collaboration in the works based on a registration on licensing entity ASCAP. The song was titled “Coldest Summer” and listed Bebe Rexha, Chainsmokers members Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, and Lauren Christy as songwriters, with Bebe Rexha as the sole performer.

According to Chainsmokers management, this has been confirmed false.

A representative for Disruptor Management confirmed that neither artist team had been involved in registering this track, and were similarly confused to its origins.

It’s unfortunate that this turned out to be false, as such a collaboration would have been exciting, but if by any chance this sparked an idea in either team, that wouldn’t be the worst thing.
