Burning Man Founder John Law to Speak Out at “City of Dust” Exhibit

After over 20 years since leaving Burning Man, the festival’s rogue founder John Law is finally speaking out…

Back in 1996, a man died and several people were injured, as the gathering in Black Rock Desert went a little too wild — with guns and speeding cars. It’s the most notorious event in Burning Man history, and Law is set up to give his perspective on everything.

This week, Law will give his very first exclusive and public talk about Burning Man since he left.

“I’m not going to talk shit about anybody, I’m going to talk about the people in the beginning who made this into a magical thing, so magical that it’s become gigantic.”

“I’ve got my feet up on the desk, and I’m downloading Curtis Mayfield.”

“City of Dust: The Evolution of Burning Man” exhibit takes place at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno through Jan. 7, 2018 and Law will speak at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17.
