Jay-Z and Linkin Park’s “Numb/Encore” collaboration will forever go down as one of the best mashups in music history…
During his first show since Chester Bennington’s death, Jay-Z paid tribute to his late collaborator with a special performance of “Numb/Encore” at V Festival in Staffordshire, England. The result was even more riveting and heart-wrenching than anyone could have anticipated.
“Can you guys light it up tonight? For Chester, for Linkin Park, one time tonight?” Hov’s voice echoed over the crowd… And, light it up, they certainly did.
“Please, make some noise so we can hear you all the way in heaven tonight,” Jay-Z said before breaking into one of his most legendary raps of all to time. Watch the touching moment right here.
