Check Out Spotify’s Most Streamed Songs This Summer

Seeing as we’re now into September and that summer 2017 is formerly over it’s time to look back and relive our experiences courtesy of Spotify’s new playlist. Titled, “Spotify’s Global Top 30 Songs of Summer 2017,” the playlist reveals the top 30 most streamed songs of the summer on Spotify (duh).

Unsurprisingly, “Despacito – Remix” sits in number one where it’s joined by a whole host of huge summer radio and streaming hits alike including records by DJ Khaled, Jonas Blue, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Kendrick Lamar and more.

Dance music was certainly well represented with “Feels” by Calvin Harris checking in at seventh on the Global list. Joining it are “Mama” by Jonas Blue in 11th, “2U” right behind it (Bieber’s second entry), “More Than You Know” by Axwell Ingrosso in fifteenth, “Something Just Like This” at eighteen, the Cheat Codes x CADE remix of Maggie Lindermann’s “Pretty Girl” at twenty-four and finally “There For You” by Martin Garrix and Troye Sivan in twenty-eighth.

Spotify also came up with the rankings for the US which looks fairly similar to the Global list. Surprisingly, there’ far less dance with only “Feels” and “Slide” represented. Hip-hop and R&B made incredible gains in the US playlist compared to the Global chart with Drake, Migos, Travis Scott, Playboy Carti, Future, Logic, Khalid, 21 Savage, and Childish Gambino all making appearances in the US playlist.
