Avatar Sequels Get Release Dates Through 2025, and A Billion Dollar Budget

Avatar completely changed our human world’s perspective on films back in 2009, when the alien world of Pandora came to life right before our very eyes!

After years of talk, four more Avatar films finally have some prospected release dates and a billion dollar budget to make it count. Each of the sequels are scheduled to be released throughout 2025. Next up, Avatar 2 arrives in theaters December 18th, 2020.

It’s going to be hard to live up to the excellence achieved with the first Avatar film, but a cool $250,000,000 per film should give director James Cameron what he needs to wow fans. If he doesn’t continue to captivate audiences, however — this could be really, really bad considering the production is already out a billion dollars.

Avatar remains one of the most lucrative domestic film, only second to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, while James Cameron’s colossal film Titanic places third. Can Avatar 2, 3, 4, or 5 top these massive films?

See the cast for the first one, due 2020, below.
