Rock legend Marilyn Manson was performing last night at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York when he was tragically crushed by stage scenery set up for his performance. The stage prop in question, a large metal scaffolding used to tie together two handguns, collapsed on the singer about an hour into his set.
Eyewitnesses report that Marilyn Manson was performing his song “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” when he “climbed onto the two guns” which may have caused the scaffolding to tip over on him. He lay on the stage for up to 15 minutes covered by a sheet before being carried off by crew members via stretcher bound for the hospital.
