Gorillaz’ Jamie Hewlett Confirms New Album for 2018

In Midst Of 5th Studio Album, Gorillaz Reveal Potential New Collab With David Bowie

Gorillaz aren’t a group that usually release albums in back-to-back years, but there’s a first time for everything.

In an interview with TASCHEN, Gorillaz’ Jamie Hewlett confirmed that the group will be releasing their sixth studio album in 2018.

“We’re working on another Gorillaz album which we’re going to be releasing next year. So we’re going straight into the next album with no break. Usually we have a good five-year break between each album but we decided, you know what? Let’s keep going. Because there’s ideas for a few more albums so we’re going to go straight into that. So that will be all of next year and probably the year beyond that.”
