Deadmau5‘s new album where’s the drop? was announced yesterday, along with news of a special, one-time performance at Los Angeles’s Wiltern Theater, featuring a full stage production with orchestra. However, many fans are upset that the album will release exclusively on TIDAL for a period of time.

However, deadmau5 doesn’t really give a f*ck if people are upset about the exclusivity, especially because, as he explains, it allowed him to make this album the best it could have been.

Even more so, it won’t be an exclusive on TIDAL forever.

And even more so, deadmau5 and TIDAL included a link to a 90-day free trial of the app, which doesn’t require you to continue after the trial is over. Essentially, you can get the album for free on release day… so what’s the problem, again?
