[Retraction] Dancefestopia Talent Buyer Matt Bonabhan Fired Over Sexual Abuse Allegations

Last Saturday, March 17, Your EDM published an article pertaining to the termination of Matt Bonabhan, a former employee of Borda Productions who worked with Dancefestopia as a talent buyer for the festival. After a number of allegations regarding Bonabhan’s past alleged sexual offenses became known, Dancefestopia and Borda Production both cut ties with Bonabhan immediately.

Initial claims by users on Twitter asserted that Dancefestopia and Borda knew about these allegations prior to March 15 when the tweets were first made. This was verified false both by the accuser and Borda. In our coverage of the topic, we included those tweets and we regret any confusion this may have caused.

Tweets from both the accuser and her friend have also been retracted.

Mr. Bonabhan remains a former employee of both entities.
