deadmau5 is in his prime and it’s certainly paying off. His new mau5ville project recently saw out its first installment and on top of it all the producer has signed a new recording deal with Kobalt Music‘s AWAL.
Billboard has exclusively learned of the new partnership, which focuses on mau5ville, new music and remixes to be released in the coming months. “Global marketing, campaign coordination, and global distribution” are all part of the deal according to the publication.
mau5ville: level 1 just released July 13 on deadmau5’s signature label, mau5trap. It featured the producer’s own work and also enlists various artists including Getter, GTA, Rob Swire, Latroit, ATTLAS, and Rinzen. And, fans can expect plenty more where this came from.
Of the new deal, AWAL CEO Lonny Olinickin a statement:

Ron Cerrito, AWAL President, North America also dished to Billboard:
“Joel epitomizes what it means to be an independent artist today — everything from his entrepreneurial drive and work ethic to his ability to authentically connect with fans across the globe. He has always been a forward-thinking music pioneer, which is why we couldn’t be more thrilled about his choice to partner with AWAL again so we can help support his vision for mau5ville and help take his project to the next level.”
