A Mundelein, IL teenager died Sunday evening after he was found unresponsive at Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.
Pending autopsy results, the Cook County Examiner’s office will be able to determine cause of death. His mother, Melissa Kitzmiller, believes he may have suffered from a seizure and his heart gave out.
Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications addressed the tragic incident in an official statement: “We are saddened to learn that an individual transported from the event in critical condition last night due to a medical emergency has since passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.”
Evan’s mother said he attended all four days of Lolla this year and checked in often to share stories with her.
“…he had the time of his life,” she said.
The mother of 16-year-old Evan Kitzmiller suspects he had seizure Sunday at Lollapalooza.
