Calvin Harris is a certified hit machine! For anyone who needs proof, he just set a new record as the artist with the most No. 1 hits this decade in the UK.
His brand new collaboration with Sam Smith, “Promises,” is the latest release to top the singles chart, according to OfficialCharts.com. This marks the producer’s 8th No. 1 in the 2010s, 10th overall, and has ultimately earned him the top honor for this decade. Now in the double-digets, he joins the ranks of other big time hitmakers like Madonna, The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
“Promises is number 1 in UK!!!! Thank you so much. Buzzing you like it as much as I do… @samsmithworld what a blessing it is to be able to work with you,” Calvin took to Twitter to share the exciting news. “Thank you.” 
But, if you look at overall song credits, he has surpassed his own record by a long shot.
“Also they’re saying it’s my 10th number 1 but I count productions too so it’s my 14th. big upppp.”
