Markus Schulz is DJ Times‘ America’s Best DJ for an unparalleled third time. The global DJ/producer first won the readers poll back in 2012, then in 2014, and he has snagged the golden mixer again for 2018.
“This is such an incredible honor,” Schulz gleams in a statement. “I have never been in this industry for the purpose of winning awards, and my biggest accomplishment in life is having the ability to connect and entertain those who believe in me. I take absolutely none of this for granted, and I count my lucky stars every day that I am able to do what I love for a living.”
He goes on to thank the publication, DJ Times, as well as all the promoters, clubs, and festivals that have invested in him. “…most of all, my adoration goes towards the fans,” he continues. “…because without them, none of this is possible.”
“To have received this award once would have been incredible, but to be recognized as America’s Best DJ for an unprecedented third time, over a seven-year period, also demonstrates how continually loyal and passionate they are for my overall palette of work.”
During Hurricane Irma, the unthinkable happened when thieves broke into and looted his very own Coldharbour Studios. Both of his previously awarded golden mixers were stolen during the incident. Now, he has another to cherish, back in the hands of the rightful owner.
Huge congrats to Markus Schulz and the other winners including Porter Robinson, Kaskade, Claude VonStroke, A-Trak and more. See the top 10 below. Also look back at 2017’s winners here.
