Boys Noize has been keeping that good music flowing with a steady stream of releases for his primary project as well as his new alias, ELAX. Plus, the shapeshifting producer has returned with Mr. Oizo to put out their Handbraekes #3 EP after a four year break.
With this, Boys Noize and Mr. Oizo treat us to their unique collaborative project. Per press release, the duo’s new productions are “destined to transform any club or festival into a disco riot.” Um, yes please!
Clearly, this body of work is all about that disco revival, as made blatantly obvious from the leading track “Discow.” Boys Noize tends to stray from his signature industrial techno, but at times he reels it back in, as heard with “Intertwo.” From the afterhour moans of “All Night Long,” to the unstoppable bounce of “Jumpma,” Handbraekes’ #3 EP will keep you guessing.
Infectious rhythms, unexpected breakdowns, and quirky details that can only be the result of working with Mr. Oizo all make this well worth the listen and then some. There’s nothing quite like Handbraekes.
Get your groove on right here and don’t miss Boys Noize on tour (dates below).
