Malaa has been on fire so far in 2020. Not only has the masked producer been dropping top notch remixes left and right, he also recently teamed up with his buddy DJ Snake for a special “Best of Both Worlds” live stream. Now we’re finally treated to one of the tracks that got debuted during the set. Teaming up with fellow Frenchman Koos, we get “Hell.” Living up to its name, the track is a filthy tech house heater.
Koos is an up and comer on Tchami’s Confession label, he’s previously remixed Malaa’s “Cash Money” and “Addiction.” Now the two are finally joining forces for a proper collab. “Hell” will also be featured on Malaa’s upcoming Illegal Mixtape Vol. 3.
The track opens up with a four on the floor beat, pretty standard house. Then we get the dark synths that let you know, this isn’t just an ordinary house track. A dark buildup follows until we get the grooving and pounding beat of the drop. There’s also some Sullivan King-esque screams thrown into the mix just in case the “Hell” aspect of the whole thing hasn’t hit home.
