Quiet Bison Drops New Glittering Hymn, “High Like This” with Reo Cragun

Quiet Bison has often been compared to Flume in his sound, and his new collaboration with Reo Cragun doesn’t help to separate them, especially after Flume and Cragun worked on the Quits EP together. However, and a big however, that comparison ends there and Quiet Bison has definitely forged his own sound, even if some of the effects sometimes resemble others.

On “High Like This,” Quiet Bison ekes out glitched synths and broken arpeggiated synths with a melancholic melody and reassurances from Reo that “we’re gonna be alright.” The song is beautiful in its composition and only further emboldened by its message. Even among the massive 808 kicks and noisy synths, a wonderful melody emerges and vastly changes the sound of it all.

“I could talk about the technical side of making this song, but I really want to take this time to say that working on it with Reo was really inspiring and I owe a lot to him for making this song something special,” says Quiet Bison. “Thank you to Reo for being you.”
