PREMIERE: Krono unleash staggering remix of Jairic’s hit ‘Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You’

French electronic duo Krono are gearing up to release a trailblazing remix of Jairic’s mega-hit ‘Dont’ Let Me Put A Track On You’. The remix, which is set to drop on 20, February via Rich Air Music, transforms the original into a fiery electronic track, inspired by elements of dubstep and other experimental electronic textures.

The remix features a super-charged bassline, commanding percussion and a hypnotic melody. Julie Weber’s silken pop vocals add a sense of warmth throughout the track, while Jairic’s pungent vocal delivery shines boldly in an unapologetic, fierce manner.

Krono are composed of brothers Mickaël and David Couderc, who have released music on labels like Armada Music and Ultra Music. They’ve also received support from heavyweights such as Tiësto and Pete Tong to name a few. Renowned for their distinct take on melodic house, deep house and electronic pop, Krono broke into the industry with their viral remix of Aaron Smith’s ‘Dancin’ which has over 1 billion streams to date.

Speaking on the remix, Krono told us: “The remix of “Don’t Let Me Put a Track on You” takes a sharp pop-electronic direction, rooted in a contemporary aesthetic driven by deep bass and synths drawing from French Touch foundations, with influences blending Ed Banger and Daft Punk. Melodic synths bring an accessible, modern feel, while Jairic’s energetic rap energizes the track without breaking its pop balance.”

Originally from Detroit and now based in France, Jairic is known for his defiant alternative rap soundscape. Jairic has performed exclusive sets at Château Les Alouettes in Cannes and Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, while he made a featured live appearance at the Paris premiere of the short film Azur. He is heavily influenced by Hip Hop greats like Nas and Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Detroit’s bustling underground, 60s rock, classic funk and film scores, all of which inspire him to create genre-blurring music with lyrical weight.
