Space Jesus has certainly become an icon of the underground bass music scene. So, when we saw he had teamed up with rising star, PROKO, we knew we were in for a treat.
Their collaboration is called ‘Saturn’s Moon’, and for good reason: it’s absolutely massive. Both PROKO and Space Jesus are known for their heavy, experimental styles and this tune highlights that fact perfectly. They went for a distinctly dubstep vibe here, but they definitely didn’t slack on the wonk factor. There’s enough low-end to make the ground shake, delivered via a variety of raucous growls, heavy kicks, and tectonic sub-bass. Alien gibbering, synth shrieks, and beastly vocal samples add flair throughout the track and give it that otherworldly feel we’ve come to expect from these beat hustlers.
