Randall Island in New York City was bustling with activity this weekend. While joggers ran the island perimeter, and various sports fields were in use by youth teams, a much bigger, much louder event dominated the island.
That event was The Governors Ball. In its eighth consecutive year, we saw incredible and popular acts that had the thousands of sun-drenched festival goers of New York City raging and dancing all three days. Although the lineup was predominantly Hip-Hop and Rap artists, the organizers did a good job including some EDM acts.
