Berlin-based producer and DJ Ely Oaks, just dropped a high-powered remix of Taylor Swift’s ‘Opalite’ via Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
Although Ely has had a massive career with over 9 million monthly Spotify listeners and was crowned the #1 most-followed DJ in Germany by Tik Tok in 2024, this remix stands as one of his biggest accomplishments yet! Ely also had a massive year in 2025 with his hit Running Around garnering over 150 million Spotify streams, and ‘Borderline’ featuring LAVINA boasting more than 130 million streams.
Ely Oaks adds his distinct boundary-descimating sonic blueprint to the original. He speeds up the tempo, without stripping the original of its infectious energy and playful nature. The remix has been perfectly crafted for peak time moments, and is sure to set the dancefloor alight with its 90s rave feel and powerful energy. 
Ely shared more on the inspiration behind the remix; “The moment you get the task to remix a Taylor Swift single is very special. Firstly it’s a huge honor, secondly you sit there and realise that this needs to be perfect. It’s easy to overthink here, I threw away a lot of the initial ideas. It’s a very big challenge to add something to a song that’s already so great. It took a few tries to finally get something that actually felt like a spark to me. Extremely happy that the end product made it to the official EP and so excited to hear what all of the fans think about it!”
