Producer/DJ Laidback Luke was early to adopt and incorporate trap music into his arsenal. Luke surprised everyone when he busted out the festival trap during his set at Escape From Wonderland around Halloween and has since been a big supporter of the style. Also being the head of Mixmash Records, he’s recently released the Mixmash Trap EP, which features original tracks by Twinz Beatz and Oliver Twizt and two remixes by Oh Snap!! and Saint Liz. Twinz Beatz effort is festival trap at its finest; ravey big room builds, thunderous 808 kick drums, and a wild Dutch house influenced synth. Oliver Twizt hits us with a big bubbling trap tune that’s a little more hip hop influenced but still equally as big of a tune in the club. Luke & Steve Aoki‘s Turbulence has already gotten a few unofficial bootleg remixes in the trap style, but Oh Snap!!‘s official remix is definitely another breath of fresh life into the festival slammer. Rounding things off, Saint Liz flips Luke’s classic Bring The House Down and turns it into a festival titan.
