What a fantastic year it has been in music, especially EDM. The genre has gained even more recognition, thanks to leading acts like Avicii, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris. Anyways, I decided to write-up the ten best house tracks of the year that perk your interest. It’s house, but with a unique flare that I know you will love, so here goes.
10. Alesso & Dirty South ft. Ruben Haze – City of Dreams
How can you resist the euphoria of this progressive house gem?!
9. Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont ft. Malin – Safe With You
It doesn’t matter who you are, because this track is sure to spread a smile across your face and keep you pressing play over and over.
8. Ummet Ozcan – Here & Now
Sure, he may be the king of one-note drops, but his arrangements are genius, especially on this banger from earlier in the year.
7. Avicii – Wake Me Up
Avicii proved that country and EDM could work as he truly struck gold with an anthem I’ll never get tired of.
6. Flight Facilities – Clair De Lune feat. Christine Hoberg (Motez Remix)
I never knew the original could get any better until I stumbled across this remix from the talented Montez. It is wholly captivating, something I cannot turn off.
5. Walden – First Day (Maor Levi Remix)
Maor Levi Provides a Madeon-ish remix to “First Day” that no matter how many times you listen, always sounds refreshing.
4. Jabberwocky – Photomaton (Kartell Remix)
Indie meets deep house in this phenomenal remix by Kartell, turn this one up!
3. Disclosure ft. Sam Smith– Latch
Yes, I had to put this in here because not only is it one of the best tracks ever, but also has the funkiest hooks I’ve heard.
2. Seven Lions, Myon & Shane 54 ft. Tove Lo – Strangers
Possibly the greatest trio of the year combined to produce this incredible, heart melting anthem.
1. Dillon Francis ft. T.E.E.D. – Without You (The Rebirth)
Dillon’s first take on Progressive House left my jaw on the floor and rightfully deserves the #1 track of the year!
