Afrojack on the Industry: “Take EDM to a Jay-Z Level”

According to Mixmag, Afrojack said: “before I’m 30 I want to take EDM to a Jay Z level… like ‘EDM’s so hard mother*ckers wanna find me!’”

This makes it clear for his recent signing with Island Def Jam Records. Possibly pursuing another genre of music? We will have to wait for his upcoming album release.

From one of his responses to an interview, the new album has to come out sometime in March 2014. Being already on that month, Afrojack fans should not have to wait too long. It is just kinda weird how he was looking for a label to publish his music, when he is the owner of Wall Recordings. Only time will tell.
