EDM: Electronic Disney Music

It seems the ‘D’ in ‘EDM’ will be taking on another meaning this April as Walt Disney Records announced the release of a new album filled with classic Disney songs electronically modified by some of our favorite producers. Disney has always been able to remain current and relevant, and as such, has seemed to embrace the boom of electronic music (remember that Toy Story bath rave released by Disney Pixar a few years back?).

The album DConstructed is set to drop April 22, 2014 and will feature electronic Disney remixes from Avicii, Kaskade, BT, Armin Van Buuren, Mat Zo, and more.  No physical track list has yet been revealed, but keep an eye on hints from the artists; Mat Zo has already publicized that he has produced a drum & bass version of Elton John‘s classic The Circle of Life from The Lion King.

Not much other information has been divulged other than a short instagram trailer posted on Disneymusic, but you can pre-order DConstructed on amazon before its official release in April.
