After an already massive venture that was HARD Summer, it looks like HARD Events CEO Gary Richards, aka Destructo, is taking it up a notch for what seems like the greatest HARD lineup that I’ve ever seen. Not least of which is the purposefully hard-to-miss b2b set from progressive house masters Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz. Also headlining on Saturday will be Knife Party, who will have just released their album Abandon Ship, HARD favorite Pretty Lights, and Mad Decent’s Diplo.
Sunday will welcome headliners Calvin Harris, Zedd, and possibly the most massive artist on the list, Bassnectar. Of course, HARD is bringing back many of its favorite performers including Zeds Dead, RL Grime, Snails, and more. Some can’t miss sets this Halloween season are definitely Moody Good and Just A Gent on Saturday and Thomas Jack and Rustie on Sunday.
Last year’s Day of the Dead was also one of the best lineups I’ve seen, with Deadmau5, Skrillex, and Nero throwing down massive shows. But to be quite honest, my mouth definitely started watering when I saw this lineup. Tickets go on sale this THURSDAY @ 10am PST. Additionally, HARD will be moving to another new venue, after having tried out Whittier Narrows this summer. The original venue, LA State Historic Park, is likely still undergoing renovations, and so HARD will be moving even further east to Pomona. The Fairplex is a wide open venue which should house the large festival with plenty of room to spare. This is not a festival you want to miss.
