Sitting here with two of the three monthly rounds of “Fresh Face Friday” completed, this article marks the start of the final month of our House portion of FFF. What that means is say hello to DNB & Dubstep, as it will reign over Fresh Face Friday for the next three months starting October 1st! Yes you read that correctly. As the House entries continue to roll in, we want to finish up this portion strong. With that being said I present you with the first week of Septembers Fresh Face Friday competition.
Patty Beatz – Take The House
Absolutely amazed by electronic music after playing both the guitar then switching to trumpet; my boy Patrick as in Patty Beatz has been at it for almost four years now. His knowledge of live music and orchestra has carried over into his productions in the electronic dance music realm to inspire his work. Not wanting to be identified with just one genre, Patrick takes inspiration from Dillon Francis because of how “free his music is” as well as a young Mr. Garrix as he is a beacon of hope for the youth showing that age does not define creativity.
Patty’s track, “Take The House” features a pluck that I cannot get over. It is so rich, and thumps in all the rights frequencies bands leaving me almost completely mesmerized throughout the track.
iviE – Escalade
In the game for over four years now and next to be featured for Fresh Face Friday, I want to introduce Tim. This lad is breaking the ice in this week’s competition in regards to genre. As you’ve heard the first track by now, the third after this one follows the same genre of Deep House (Spoiler) with iviE right here in the middle holding it down for Progressive-ish/ Electro House. Either way I digress and just want to say that the melody alone in Escalade is so catchy and groovy that I had to get it featured up on Fresh Face Friday! Have a listen.

Justin Edge – Black Sheep (After Hours Mix)
With support from artists such as Gareth Emery, Krewella, and Kill the Noise, this LA-based classically trained multi-instrumentalist turned disc jockey and producer has been making waves all across Southern California. Formerly known as DJ EDGE, Justin Edge had decided to drop the “DJ” prefix and focus primarily on music production. Whether it’s deep house, heavy electro, dark techno, or even uplifting trance, Justin Edge has been called the next Kaskade or Steve Angello, and with a three-song EP, several remixes, and his new single “MK Ultra” out on Beatport, the future looks bright for this versatile producer.
