Walt Disney Records is by no means passing on the popularity of dance music. In fact, they are helping to bring it to a wider audience. One piece of that has come recently in the form of a remix by Flux Pavilion of “Rebel’s Theme” from Star Wars. I surely didn’t expect to hear what I heard, but given that this is an official remix for Disney’s animated series Star Wars Rebels, you can probably guess that they had some influence in how things should sound. No matter, Flux still gives us an energetic production that clubs and festivals everywhere are aching for. It’s not a track you’ll find me playing out a lot, but I sure can enjoy a flip like this in the right circumstances. If nothing else, it’s a fun tune.
