Skrillex’s OWSLA Continues to Impress With Latest Premiere

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, it should come as no surprise that the massive collaboration between Snails & Antiserum, “Wild”, is receiving the full remix treatment. After teasing short snippets of each remix in the official OWSLA (Skrillex’s label) minimix just 24 hours ago, it is our pleasure to offer the first listen to Henry Fong‘s take on the propulsive dancefloor destroyer. The remix EP contains a wide variety of interpretations from dubstep to electro, and Fong’s is an intense bigroom house banger.

While bigroom can often seem bland and unimaginative, Fong manages to use a great portion of the original track to stay away from that trope. Between the wild horns and remnants of 808s, this spin on bigroom is much more than just tolerable.The lyrics, as always, should have no issue getting a crowd pumped and the heavy bass is just another addition to the wild party anthem atmosphere. In addition, Henry Fong takes it that one step further with a sort of faux-trap breakdown after the first main drop; pushing the tempo to monumental proportions.
