Since summer is in full force, the Rooftop Boys have shed their fur coats and have begun to unleash what they were tirelessly working on in studio during the colder months. Less than three weeks before their latest release, the NYC pair announced their spot on Felix Jaehn’s remix package for “Ain’t Nobody,” and now they follow-up with another official remix but this time of Avicii protégé Syn Cole’s “It’s You.”
The Rooftop Boys’ name is synonymous with their signature style of “SummerBass,” which finds a happy harmony between two of house music’s latest popular sub-genres: tropical and future house. Constructing a soulful piano line to play alongside the original’s vocals, the Rooftop Boys only bring the good vibes as they remove any darkness from their bassline and bring forth the animated nature to put Syn Cole’s original into overdrive.
The duo’s official remix of “It’s You” is now available on Beatport.
