Have you ever stopped and thought to yourself, “You know what I’d like? A future bass cover of the Eurythmics’ seminal song ‘Sweet Dreams’.” No? Well you’re in luck anyway, because Hex Cougar did it and it’s awesome.
I love the lyrics on their own, even without anything behind them, they’re pretty dope and are a perfect example of how much worse lyricism has become since the ’80s. So then when you use Holly Henry’s acapella vocals and add a future bass spin, it becomes a whole new beast.
It’s honestly a decent enough future bass tune in its own right, as well, but Hex Cougar must have had an epiphany to think of adding that acapella to the mix. Like damn, nice idea, son.
