Released on Block Society’s VOL TWO, “Need To Know” is another delightfully mellow bass-feast courtesy of Baltimore’s Kayoh. He’s developed quite a penchant for trap heavy tracks, verified by a stroll through his Soundcloud. “Need To Know” is one of his lighter productions, and he’s made it available for free download.
Starting out with an aerated progression and echoing snaps, the track confidently sways into a sweltering future bass tune. The tempo stays locked in just right as ebbing synth rolls begin to play against the R&B influenced percussion, but toning back down to let frequencies breathe. In combination with a soothing keyboard backdrop, Kayoh’s use of sliding oscillations and popping leads offers the ideal soundtrack for a chilled-out suburban Sunday.
