G-house homies Skyler Gross and Nick van Tiel of Housing Corp have delivered yet another swiggity tune with “What You Need.” It’s a delectable mid-summer treat, perfect to curate a classy poolside atmosphere for the rest of the season.
Slumping bass drives the vibe along the deep end while the track’s plucky guitar assuages any fears of a bad time. Centering around a disco influenced percussion, there’s a plethora of chimes, cowbell, and whammy effects to shoot you back to Little Havana. Overall, “What You Need” packs more than a few moments that’ll make you feel like a villain from Miami Vice, but that seems to be the idea.
