I’m sorry to even be doing this, but as the news surrounding Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift has reached a swelling point, the amount of responses has become too hard to ignore. Calvin’s original tweet has received a lot of attention and a lot of the responses praise his defense of his relationship. Then again, Calvin is one of those figure who has entire Twitter communities devoted to him – much like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Zedd, and yes, Taylor Swift.
Still, many of the tweets asked that he “grow a backbone” or just take the joke.
@CalvinHarris tweet of the month, good job! Gotta hand it to you. Oh wait…

I’m so glad someone on Twitter is a law expert.
Calvin Harris even got the attention of Yelp.
.@CalvinHarris Radar should've read Yelp more carefully. We got your back! http://t.co/AYNkDvlArk #ShakeItOffCalvin pic.twitter.com/BSDPOue7Q7

And finally, someone asks the tough question…

While not in a tweet, Selena Gomez also commented on the situation. In an interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM radio show, Gomez states, “Honestly, it’s so stupid. I’m pregnant every week, [Taylor’s] gonna be pregnant. It’s so stupid, like you can’t really read that stuff.”
This is a nothing situation that has blown way out of proportion, and publications are making money peddling these false rumors. It’s a sad state of affairs, indeed.
