As we approach the end of 2015, many of us are already looking forward to festivals in 2016. It seems in this never-ending revolving door of music, the lines between “festival season” and real life are blurred beyond recognition. Today, Lightning In A Bottle announced the date that 2016 tickets go on sale: January 5th.
However, January 4th will see a 24-hour “flash sale” at $25 off.
Another new feature of 2016, LIB will open on Wednesday – and there will be no music.
According to Fest300, the extra day will allow some attendees the ability to experience certain festival festivities, for lack of a better word, without the crowd. It will also mean that those who arrive early will get first dibs at the best camping spots.
“We’re constantly hearing people say they wish LIB was longer so we’re super excited to actually start making that reality,” says Dede Flemming, co-founder of Lightning In a Bottle. “So much of the festival is about creating community and having this extra day with a more intimate setting and more personalized content will really allow people to dive deeper into the experience and make more personal connections.”
Wednesday entry will be granted with the purchase of an Early Arrival Pass in addition to a 4 Day Weekend pass. These will go on sale January 4th, and they are expected to go quickly.
Do LaB’s Lightning in a Bottle 2016 will take place over Memorial Day Weekend May 25 – May 30 once again descending upon Lake San Antonio recreation area in Bradley, CA.
