You may have noticed by now that we have a passionate love affair with Germany’s Saturate! Records; and for good reason. These guys have been leading the bass music scene for years now, never failing to bring fresh, innovative, and downright otherworldly sounds onto our radar. From titans like Herobust and G Jones to fresh faces like Sayer and Conrank, this label is unparalleled in both the quality and variety of music they release. Now, while the artists themselves are obviously a big part of Saturate’s success, much credit is also due to the label’s founder and chief, the man behind the curtain: BIOS. His musical curation has been on point from the jump and he truly supports the endeavors of the beat-makers he chooses to highlight. Even more impressive is that he somehow found the time to make a few beats of his own…

And we couldn’t be more excited to deliver them to your ears! Ashki Chronicles is the first official BIOS EP and he held absolutely nothing back. Featuring five original tracks and a champion remix from Yunis, the release is prime-time grime all the way through; the kind of tunes you expect to hear in a dark room with subs stacked to the roof and bodies flailing. Walls of bass, sledgehammering drums, and alien synth melodies collide to create a modern sound that somehow feels distinctly nostalgic as well.
