Two months have passed since producer KRNE uploaded his initial playlist of collaborative SESSIONS tracks to his alternative account, the songs featuring Dabow and Warior remaining in my normal rotation to this day. Today, however, we’ve finally been given a brand new catalogue of releases to enjoy. Sessions 02 showcases an extremely wide range of diversity in the roster’s collaborators and subsequent production styles, leading to a powerful and easily replay-able collection of hits.

Sessions 02 begins with the pre-released trap swinger “Stomp,” which features Argentinian beat producer Dabow once again, a complete review of which can be found here. Up next is “Quartzz” with Jupe, an optimistic yet deadly future bass heater complete with uplifting, high-pitched vocal cuts and crisp, heavy layered synths. “Lion” featuring Ellio quickly became my favorite after listening through the full compilation, it being a no-nonsense trap sensation with a lazily falling lead synth and a spectrum-wide kick drum.
Producer Fire Spells helped to create “Just In Time,” one of the most interesting and catchy on the entire list. With a cutesy and tropical center, the track reaches out into different stylistic directions throughout its length. Future bass, 8-bit, and even house elements all come into and out of play as the squeaky vocals carry the melody along. Finally comes “Apollo,” with Thook. Beginning with an ominous and important string introduction, the track slowly swells upwards towards relentless drones of sub bass below echoing bell strikes and flutes. It eventually breaks down into minimal and raw sections, where he and KRNE experiment around the consistent rhythm.
