Kygo is dance music’s Taylor Swift, but so much better. The Norweigan DJ has been crushing it with his live shows in the states by featuring a wide array of our favorite non-EDM artists. John Legend joined him onstage last year at his sold-out show to perform one of Kygo’s most famous covers or Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing.” Since the surprise cameo was such a big hit, fans wondered who would join him onstage last night at his als0 sold-out performance at Barclay’s Arena is Brooklyn. Shaggy, “Mr. Bombastic” himself, made an appearance last night to perform his massive hit mashed up to the “Sexual Healing”cover. But he wasn’t done there, because he also sang “It Wasn’t Me,” the tune most millennials at the show knew the reggae star for.
Kygo also debuted two massive new originals during his set which we expect to release on his upcoming album. The first of which, “I’m In Love,” features a sultry male vocal line backed my gorgeous, emotion-rending chords which make for an enchanting 3 minutes.
The second, “Oasis,” is much bouncier than we’re used to from Kygo, but we’re not complaining! This one is featuring a female vocalist and a powerfully emergent bass-line; you can hear the microphone buzz for yourself.
