Avicii performed at the Dubai Trade Center this past weekend on what he claims is his last run of shows as an artist. In his letter to fans, Avicii made it abundantly clear that the retirement would apply to touring, rather than to his existence as an artist altogether. He assured us that new music would be coming.
To that end, it seems that we already have some new Avicii. During his show, Avicii played out a new track that fans are speculating features vocals from Australian singer/songwriter Sia, as well as some possible involvement from Alesso. Of course, those are all unfounded speculations, but Avicii fans are notorious for their encyclopedic knowledge of the artists’ discography, especially because he premieres and teases various edits to melodies so frequently.
This track in particular, or at least the melody, was featured in Avicii’s Ultra Music Festival set from this year. (Skip to 29:30.) Check out the track, now with vocals, below.
