Winners Announced For The 2016 Remix Awards

Among the JUNO Awards, the iHeartRadio Awards and the IDMAs all happening within the last month is another awards event that hasn’t really gotten much publicity, though that could be due to its rather bland name. The Remix Awards, taking place during Miami Music Week, are run by the “Remix Top30 Countdown” radio show, founded by Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton; Hamilton is allegedly “one of the most listened to radio personalities in the country, heard on 118 radio stations in the U.S.”

Many of the producers involved were actually presenting awards, including Steve Angello, Zedd, The Chainsmokers, Jonas Blu, Lost Frequencies, Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, R3hab and Steve Aoki.

The winners of the awards are chosen based on two categories: North American radio airplay, and best sound production in its category judged by the Remix Top30 Countdown’s nationwide resident DJ’s. The winners are as follows (thanks to EDM Tunes for doing the leg work on the links):
