Draper – Ready for Us feat. Sykes [Monstercat]

Draper has always been one of the more unique artists on Monstercat‘s roster. Since his label debut “Men & Machines,” the London-based mastermind has successfully experimented with just about every genre across the board. More recently, Draper caught the eye of Circus Records, who recruited him for an official remix of Flux Pavilion & Matthew Koma‘s “Emotional,” which was soon followed by his Circus single release “Home.”

Although Draper continues to play around with a number of different sounds (evidenced by his late 2015 EP Ambedo), he appears to have found some middle ground in indie dance. Both his last Monstercat release – “All I See” – and his most recent single – “Break Over You” – have snugly fit into the genre, hinting that Draper has finally found a style to stick with.

“Ready for Us” clearly continues on the same path. Much like LVTHER‘s latest single “Some Kind of Magic,” the song sees Draper expanding into a borderline-pop sound. The rising indie pop band Sykes is also featured on the track, providing a heap of catchy vocals that blend perfectly into Draper’s new style of production.
