Steve Aoki and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker have had a long relationship in music, and they’ve worked together multiple times in the past both on tracks and in live performances. “When ‘Bored to Death’ came out,” said Barker, “it just seemed like the next natural thing for [him to remix it].”
We reported that Steve and Blink were in the studio this past March, and so we could be hearing even more material from them in the future. For now, this remix of “Bored To Death” is a spectacular consolation to some possible original material, featuring an electrifying soundscape and the perfect accompanying vocals from Mark Hoppus.
