Today, Boys Noize starts his North American tour in Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater and in light of it, the German producer/DJ announced the release of a Midnight Remixes EP via Boysnoize Records on October 14th. The single “Midnight” is a highlight of his 4th studio album Mayday and the remix EP includes the techno-centric rendition of Audion (aka Matthew Dear), a hybrid sound of dub and techno by Addison Groove, and a stellar raw mix by Alex Ridha and his buddy Mr. Oizo under their Handbraekes moniker.
The North American tour comes hot on the heels off of the Oliver Stone collaboration of the music video for “Mayday” for the theater movie Snowden. The video was uniquely premiered on 4Chan via their 404 Error page HERE.
Boys Noize is bringing along a unique combination of artists on tour, such as album-collaborator Remy Banks, XL Recordings’ Gila, Brooklyn’s Jubilee, Sister City, Philly´s Dave P, Avalon Lurks and Boysnoize Records’ PILO.
Earlier this week, after a full week of rehearsals (see here), Boys Noize collaborated with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Marijuana Deathsquads and The National’s Dessner brothers in Berlin for the 2 night event HERE.
