Slushii’s “Morphine” Is Unlike Anything The Producer Has Ever Released

Slushii

Since Slushii’s very first remix for Kaskade, we’ve expected a certain level of hype from the young producer. That isn’t to say that a producer should be pigeon holed, but in general, we knew what to expect from his releases. That is, until “Morphine”…

As the name might imply, the song plays out like an opiate-induced haze, with plenty of reverb and soft, melodic synths elongated to the extremes. It’s not really useful for playing out during sets, unless to close – it would be pretty damn difficult to bring the energy back up after this doped up track. However it does show a certain level of versatility, even though it might not be what anyone actually wanted.
