There’s so much music coming out these days that I think the hardest challenge for producers is to keep listeners interested. Personally, I’ll listen to dozens of new tracks a day for work, and if you’re unlucky enough to send me something good, but similar enough to something I’ve listened to earlier in the day, you’re out of luck.
Fortunately, for Azura, there’s no danger of that. I don’t recall hearing anything quite like this today, or for the past week or month for the matter. Playing expertly on trends like vocal chops and Eastern synths, Azura has arranged “Lanterns” into an incredibly delightful tune that continually defies expectation throughout its duration.
