Two days ago marked the one-year anniversary of Avicii’s announcement to the world that he was retiring from the touring life. However, he made one important caveat: he was still going to be making music.
Over the past year, we’ve gotten various clues on his new music, including full Instagram live streams of him from the studio, but perhaps never has there been as clear a sign as the one featured on his current website, Avicii.com.
Next to 2016, there is a ‘pause’ symbol. Next to 2017, there is a ‘play’ symbol. It literally could not be more clear than that.
We’re not sure exactly when the website was updated, but considering the recent anniversary of his big announcement, it makes sense that those two would align. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more clues about new Avicii music, we suggest you do the same.
