Cashmere Cat Unveils New Heater & Video With MØ & SOPHIE [LISTEN]

Cashmere Cat took his Twitter account on Monday to reveal several pieces of exciting news regarding the release of his debut album. Coming on the heels of his newest single with SOPHIE and vocalist MØ, “9 (After Coachella),” Cashmere wrote that he’s decided to officially change the name of his upcoming work to 9.

Judging from the artwork scattered across his recent lyric video for the single, the album’s central tone has the potential to take a more playful and lighthearted turn from Cashmere Cat’s darker and more intense singles like “Wild Love.”

In addition to the news about the album’s rename, Cashmere Cat also announced that the production on it is finally complete. “I finished it this morning,” he wrote in the same tweet, including a “soon” emoji at the tail end. Hopefully, this means we’ll be receiving 9  in its entirety before much longer.

Check out the tweet below, and listen to “9 (After Coachella).”
